Meet Our Planners

Liney Castle

Liney hails from Tallahassee, FL but came to the mountains to play soccer for Appalachian State. After meeting her husband (Hamilton) at a bonfire, they quickly hit it off and made the high country their permanent home. The rest, as they say, is history! Liney adores her English Cocker Spaniel, “Idaho”, who she says was originally bred for hunting quail but now really only hunts for the peanut butter jar.

Liney’s favorite drinks are a black coffee (which she’s sure to enjoy first thing every morning!) and an IPA. Running, dog walks/hikes, and trying new recipes are some of her favorite hobbies. (Ask her how her sourdough endeavor is going!)

Liney says:

“My favorite part about a wedding is the moment the Bride walks down the aisle, I tear up every time! A close second would be setting up and/or decorating the desserts table!”

Leigh Harrow

Leigh is a Virginia born- NC living gal! She first dipped her toes into wedding planning in 2017 when she interned at a wedding venue under the lead planner and was instantly hooked. Leigh says “I mean, I can plan THE most important day for two people in love AND have fun? Yep, this is what I want to do for a living!”

“I have always had a niche for decorating, design, and well, LOVE. Yep, I’m a sucker for love. Even at a young age, when my Mother would have guests over for dinner parties, I was the one going over the top- creating tablescapes, scavenging for greenery and florals, rummaging through my Mom’s antiques for just the right decorative elements, and setting the table. I love color, I love details, I love people, and I love facing challenges with a smile on my face. I’m quick on my feet, I get the job done, and I love what I do. I want to bring your vision to life and take all of the stress off of you!

When she’s not planning the details of your day, you can find her hiking (ask her about the local spots!), playing guitar, reading and writing poetry, obsessively cleaning/reorganizing/redecorating her house, or in her slippers binge-watching Netflix with a glass of red.

Kelsey Strickland

A true local to the high country, Kelsey was born and raised in Boone, NC and stuck around for college, attending Appalachian State. After interning with the Twickenham House during her course of study (Hospitality and Tourism Management), she knew that planning was the path for her!

Kelsey's favorite part of a wedding is seeing two families being brought together and seeing the vision finally come to life!

In her free time, you can find Kelsey enjoying a good book with an Iced Vanilla Latte at the Local Lion, playing with her Goldendoodle "Millie," and watching "Criminal Minds" on Netflix.

Kelsey Says:

"My love for my job continues to grow every day. It is truly special to see the love that families share during this day. I have always enjoyed details and creating the perfect event, so I truly believe weddings are where I need to be. I love my job and being a part of such a special day."
